How to complete a company registration form when a current business name exists

If you are wanting to register a company using the same name as the business name, then you must enable the toggle 'is identical to business name' as below to enter in the necessary information:

Once the toggle is enabled, you will see the below, where you must confirm that the director or shareholder of the proposed company registration owns the business name, and also supply the ABN of the business name:

Once that information has been entered, press 'save and continue' to complete and submit the company registration order.

Alert
Please note:
1. If the proposed company name is NOT identical to the business name (but your client has a business name) then you do NOT need to select this option.
2. If the owner of the business name is NOT a director or shareholder of the new company registration you are submitting, then you cannot use the business name to be the proposed company registration name until the business name is transferred to a director or shareholder of the new company registration you are submitting.
